Tacuaral lodge 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

 

Day 1 –  Boat departure at 9:00am, travel up the Beni River and the Tuichi River, inside Madidi National Park, one of the richest nature preserves in the world.  The boat ride will take around 3 hours to the Tacuaral lodge.  Lunch at the lodge.  Afternoon walk in the rainforest to find monkeys, deer, wild peccaries, capybara, and several birds.  Dinner at the lodge.  Night walk to learn about nocturnal wildlife.

 

Day 2 – Breakfast, we travel by boat up the Tuichi River to the Caquiahuara cliffs to see wild macaws, as well as other bird including toucans.  The location offers many good opportunities to take picture of colorful macaws.  Back to the lodge for dinner.

 

Day 3 – Morning visit to a Mosetén and T´simane indigenous community where locals will show several aspects of their daily life, customs, traditions, and architectural techniques.   Lunch.  This visit to the community could be done by walking through the primary rainforest for approximately 6 hours far from the lodge and return to the lodge by boat.  The other option is traveling by boat to the community.  A late afternoon refreshing bath in the Tuichi River will precede dinner. 

 

Day 4 – Another last rainforest walk to find more wildlife and learn about natural history before coming back to lunch at the lodge.  Return to Rurrenabaque by sunset.  This boat ride shows the spectacular landscape of Madidi National Park and the Bala Canyon. Arrival to Rurrenabaque around 5:00 pm.
